It feels like a while ago that Magic: The Gathering’s Teenage Mutant Ninja set took us back to New York City, but it’s still the most recent set other than the current one, Secrets of Strixhaven.
And, if you’re looking for a bunch of cards for your collection that feature the Heroes in a Half-Shell, you can save some money on the Play Booster Box at Amazon. Despite the retailer saying this discount is a 10% price cut, there’s more to it than meets the eye.
MTG’s TMNT Booster Box Hits New Low Price
Universes Beyond sets command a higher fee, meaning this same Play Booster box would have sold for around $209 at launch. That’s $6.99 for each of the thirty included packs.
Now, it’s down to $112.99, bringing the price-per-pack down to $3.76. That’s a huge saving of almost 50%, and if you’re interested in the heroic quartet themselves, you’re guaranteed a turtle in every pack.
There are some decent reprints in the set, too. I pulled a Doubling Season, for example, but you can also find Rhythm of the Wild, Brainstorm, Path to Exile, and a version of Shadowspear. Not all of them have financial value, but they’re great for building out other decks.
Naturally, you’ll find pricier cards in the much more expensive Collector Boosters, and we’ve got a full rundown of the set’s chase cards.
