A Touch of Royal Prestige
Thomas Lyte isn’t just any trophy maker. Holding a Royal Warrant as silversmith and goldsmith to King Charles III, the company has a rich history of designing some of the world’s most iconic trophies. It’s also no stranger to esports, having previously created the original Summoner’s Cup — the coveted prize of the League of Legends World Championship from 2012 to 2022.
Now, Thomas Lyte brings that same elite craftsmanship to Rocket League, crafting all trophies and medals for RLCS winners throughout the year.
“At Thomas Lyte we are thrilled to bring our expertise and craftsmanship to the global Rocket League community,” said Kevin Baker, Founder and CEO of Thomas Lyte.
“This partnership with BLAST and the RLCS reflects our shared belief that excellence in competition deserves to be celebrated with silverware of the highest calibre.”
Debut at the Birmingham Major
The first trophy from this collaboration was awarded at the RLCS Birmingham Major, kicking off the series’ 2025 Majors. While the event itself saw a 33% drop in viewership compared to the 2024 opener in Copenhagen, the newly designed silverware certainly brought a new shine to the stage.
Despite the dip in numbers, BLAST remains committed to delivering an elite esports experience for players and fans alike.
“We’re excited to be partnering with a world-class leader in Thomas Lyte to elevate our trophies and medals,” said Charlie Cowdrey, Program Director of Fortnite and Rocket League at BLAST.
“Our goal is to mirror the skill, flair, and dedication of our competitors — and enrich the winner’s experience with engaging trophy-focused content throughout the season.”
More Than Just a Game
The partnership is more than symbolic. It’s a bold step toward positioning Rocket League — and esports in general — on par with traditional sports when it comes to legacy, prestige, and presentation. As esports continues to grow globally, collaborations like this signal a maturing industry that’s ready for the spotlight.
With elite trophies, passionate players, and high-stakes competition, the RLCS 2025 season is shaping up to be a showstopper. Fans can expect more than just goals and saves — they’ll witness the birth of esports legends, celebrated in silver and gold.
